Welcome Techmeme Readers
Hi Techmeme readers! We’re excited to have you join us. Wink is a social search engine that delivers relevant search results based on contributions and feedback from people. We just recently released beta 2. we invite you to try Wink. (You don’t have to log in, but you’ll have more fun with an account, which you can get in less than a minute).
Wink Search Results
Wink and Techmeme work well together. Use Techmeme to find the latest technews and buzz, then use Wink to rate, save, and search the sites you find interesting. As a social search engine, Wink uses the input of people not unlike yourself in the form of social bookmarking, rating, and organizing the best of the web to find the best sites on the Web for your search.
Over the coming days we’ll highlight the key features of Wink, so please check back. In the mean time you can get the most from Wink by doing the following (all available at the tools page):
- install the search plug-in for Firefox and Flock
- get the “Save to Wink” bookmarklet to bookmark sites you like
- if you use delicious, sync your bookmarks with Wink for the full experience.

Wink really rocks.
I can picture a Macs vs Pcs type of ad where the “normal” search engine is the PC and Wink is the Mac.
PC: “I do search using really complex algorhythmns!”
Mac: “Good for you. I do search where the results are rated by people…”
But please, please sort out the spelling! “Invite friends
Type or past in e-mail addresses of your freinds, seperated by commas:”
Wink and me: friends, separated by the same language.
