Defining YouTube

Online magazine, Slate, recently presented a story about YouTube and compiled a list of YouTube defining videos… Here are the videos all in one place. Plus a few more that I think they missed. YouTube is an amazing thing and they owe it all to Flash and copyright infringement… As Negativland says, “Copyright infringement is your best entertainment value.” I don’t think the YouTube dudes could argue with that.

Wink’s Collections are new and improved… now fortified with YouTube and Google Video. Just add a bookmark from these sites, and the embeded video will appear in the collection. There’s more like this to come with collections, so don’t touch that dial.

I think I might have mentioned this already, but it sure would be nice if you guys could make Wink Collections integrate with Mozilla Bookmarks. That way we could mark certain folders as collections and have them automatically added. I have hundreds - if not thousands of bookmarks, categorized. I’d love to share them, but creating collections is a lot of work on this scale.

    Hey David,

I agree with you. We are working on a few things that will help you do this. We’ll keep you posted.

    Thanks for the suggestion!
