Private Beta Goes Live
Today we released the private beta. What does that mean? We’re not running a “pilot” anymore. Or, in today’s Internet culture, that means we’ve expanded our QA department some. For the Beta we beefed up personal tags, allow searches across concepts when there isn’t an exact match (Thank you Doug Cutting for Lucene) and cleaned up a number of IE bugs. It’s hard to make good use of CSS/Javascript/DHTML and have it look right in IE. But I think we mostly got it. We sent out a note to our pilot users and invited a few more people to try out the beta. In a coming release, we’ll let everyone invite 5 friends. We’ve been getting lots of feedback and bug spotting. Please keep it up. And if you haven’t yet, please make eBagle your default search in your browser search toolbar so you can use it every day.
Cheers,
Michael

Quick question: where’s the best place to leave feedback? I love your service but when I am out on a page that still has the bar on top, I’d love to be able to quickly link back to eBagle without necessarily having to download the toolbar. Is it possible to put a link or a small window back to you guys on that open bar?

Hi Gina,
Thanks for the comment. The best way to leave a feedback (especially for specific questions and requests) is to send an email to feedback@ebagle.com. The blog comment is for rave and praises
If I understand your question correctly, you want to be able to link back to ebagle from a page with a rating bar at the top, after you clicked a link on the result page. You can click on the query words right before the rating stars to go back where you came from. We’re still working on new ways to improve how we display the results. Let us know at feedback@ebagle.com if you have further questions.
Thanks again for using and testing our service.
