Personal Search Page
Today we added the Personal Page. This is where all of your saved links, tags and search history are displayed. We’re hoping it will be a home base for users of the site. We’re starting simply - the list of tags is just your own. In the future we’ll allow you to see related tags from others. But there needs to be a level between “me” and “everyone”. Groups tend to be too heavyweight a concept - people are less inclined to explicitly join groups. It would be better if they can be part of “virtual” groups as a result of correlated interests - determined by the pages they visit and how they tag them. One feature we’re really excited about is called “search sets”. These allow you to collect together all the searches that go together as a set, perhaps some research on a topic, and save them as a set. Additionally you can forward the set on to others as a whole set of research. We’d like to thank John Battelle for the inspiration for search sets.
